Fort
Lauderdale begins at, logically, One Las Olas Boulevard, the home
of the Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale, Broward County's cultural
center. Since in founding, the Museum of Art has grown both programmatically
and physically into a major community cultural resource marked
by a commitment to quality, inclusion, and collaboration.
In 1986 a major step in that direction occurred when the museum moved its collections
and exhibitions into a new home in downtown Fort Lauderdale - a 65,000 square-foot
building designed by renowned American architect, Edward Larabee Barnes. But
that's not all ... take a walk down Las Olas Boulevard and you'll find that there
are galleries and specialty stores in abundance. You may be looking for antiques,
original sculptures, dÈcor
items, artifacts from around the world ... and you'll find a fantastic selection
on Las Olas Boulevard.
