Getting to the beach
One option many people take is to walk, which will take between 30 mins and an hour - more if you are tempted by the stores and restaurants on the way. The beach is around one mile east of the Las Olas shops, and will take you on a very pleasant journey through the Las Olas Isles and over the Intercoastal waterway.

Alternatively you can catch the Riverbus from Las Olas Riverfront - close to downtown and the museums - and from the Las Olas wharf on SE 9th St, just behind Mangos. Click here for more...

Other options include Broward County Transit's Route 11 bus ($1) which runs every day, usually every 30 mins.

On Friday and Saturday evenings there is also a free 'Citycruiser' shuttle running every 20 mins between the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and the beach - taking in Las Olas Boulevard of course.
