wonderful, award winning beach!
Whilst many like to take a leisurely walk from the
Las Olas shops and boutiques (taking in the mega
yachts along the Las
Olas isles) there are other ways to get to the Atlantic Ocean. From the
free
weekend shuttle
to the riverbus ...
Once
there you will find out why so many travel from Canada, Europe and from

Getting
to the beach
One option many people take is to walk, which will take between 30 mins and an
hour - more if you are tempted by the stores and restaurants on the way. The
beach is around one mile east of the Las Olas shops, and will take you on a very
pleasant journey through the Las Olas Isles and over the Intercoastal waterway.
Alternatively
you can catch the Riverbus from Las Olas Riverfront - close to downtown
and the museums - and from the Las Olas wharf
on SE 9th St, just behind Mangos. Click
here for more...
Other options include Broward County Transit's Route 11 bus ($1)
which runs every day, usually every 30 mins.
On Friday and Saturday evenings there is also a free 'Citycruiser'
shuttle running every 20 mins between the Broward Center for the Performing
Arts and the beach - taking in Las Olas Boulevard of course.
