Strolling
down Las Olas is hard to beat! With its variety of shops, galleries,
restaurants and bars, there's something for everyone and you won't want to
miss a thing.
However, don't forget the Water Taxi. Did you know that Fort Lauderdale, the
Venice of America, has more active waterways than Venice, Italy. (Fort
Lauderdale has 165 miles of active waterways, Venice has only 120).
Or try the ultimately romantic horse and carriage ride - go to SE 8 Avenue
and Las Olas Boulevard. Regular cabs are abundant along the boulevard, or
you could try one of the two-to-six passenger pedicabs which will take you
around the Fort Lauderdale beach, the boulevard and the surrounding areas.
Las Olas' newest addition to
the scene is of course the evening Sun Trolley service, which offers a regular
15 minute connection to the beach from Las Olas Boulevard and downtown .
