For immediate release Jan 18, 2018 – On a beautiful balmy Thursday evening in Fort Lauderdale, along iconic Las Olas Boulevard, someone has committed a crime…whodunit? For the 23rd year, Clueless on Las Olas – an original murder mystery party – will unfold on the north bank of the New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The fun, suspense and hi-jinks provide the perfect setting for an evening out on the town. ‘Condo Confidential’ is this year’s theme.
An interactive “whodunit” murder mystery party, “Clueless on Las Olas” captivates the investigator in all! Nearly 500 amateur sleuths will converge on iconic Las Olas Boulevard on Thursday, March 22, in search of seven unique clues to deduce the who, what or where of the “dastardly deed.” Patterned after the board game “Clue,” this event offers fun, suspense, hi-jinks and more! Raising awareness and funds for Broward Education Foundation, the event features a tented general ticket area as well as the new Private V-Eye-P Reception.
On-site registration runs from 5:30–7 p.m. at Stranahan House and Laura Ward Park, at S.E. 6th Avenue and Las Olas Boulevard. After check-in at Stranahan House, participants enter the party at the adjacent Laura Ward Park, where they read the mystery and enjoy refreshments. At 7 p.m. the wily cast of shady suspects is introduced and gumshoes are charged with helping solve the crime seeking clues at the shops and restaurants on Las Olas. Hints can be purchased from “Snitches” but those darn suspects are masters of misdirection! Returning to the party, sleuths learn a final clue and accuse a suspect. Great prizes are awarded to the canniest investigators, including a trip for two on Southwest Airlines!
The silent auction runs from 5:30-8 p.m. with items from shops on Las Olas, signed sports memorabilia, dinner packages and hotel stays. In addition, participants enjoy a raffle, appetizer and dessert buffet, music and a bar with beverages courtesy of Pepsi and Stephens Distributing.
Registration will be limited to the first 450 sleuths, so register early. Advance registration is $45 per person or purchase three tickets and the fourth one is free (through 3/16). Advance registration pricing is available through 8 pm, Tuesday, March 20. Website registration is available at (www.cluelessonlasolas.com). Credit cards are accepted. On-site registration will be $50 per person with no discount for multiple tickets, if space is available.
