Las Olas Capital Arts celebrates their 13th featured artist, Florencia Clément de Grandprey. Join us for an opening reception showcasing her inspiring artwork from 6pm-9pm on February 20th, 2020. Beer, wine, and hors d’oeuvres will be served. RSVP is required.

Florencia Clément de Grandprey was born and raised in southern Spain by an American mother and French/Italian father. Florencia is a self-taught artist, with no formal art training. Her mission is to empower and inspire through positive and meaningful work. Through her artwork, Florencia desires to portray strong, elegant, and confident women and men to celebrate what makes us unique as well what aides us in the healing due to the suffering that we experience throughout our lives.

When creating her pieces, Florencia combines her love for classic masters with contemporary design flair to produce mixed media paintings. She enjoys using recycled materials in her pieces. She uses discontinued fabric or paper samples to create unique myriad of colors, textures, and mesmerizing patterns.

Florencia looks at her artwork as a form of healing. “When I paint, I’m painting as much for myself as for others, because I know there is a lot of pain and suffering that needs healing in every single one of us. I am in every one of my paintings and hope that others can recognize themselves in at least one of them too, and so, as I heal myself, maybe, just maybe, I can ease someone else’s pain as well.”

Come one, come all, bring a guest, and enjoy Florencia’s stunning artwork.

Her passion for women empowerment is what inspires Florencia. She believes that there is a need for more positive images of women in the world. Her portrayal of our inner human strength serves as a reminder of what we can strive for, regardless of age, race or creed, and that beauty is found in everything. Florencia works directly with the Women’s Council of Greater Ft. Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. She donates the use of her art for their annual women’s conference “Excuse Me, that’s my seat.” She is one of six artists in residence for the Historical Society of Ft. Lauderdale, and she also donates her work to several local charity gala events every year such as “Bowtie Kids” and “SonRise homes.”

Florencia’s exhibition will be on display at Las Olas Capital Arts through April of 2020. A dedicated reception will be held on February 20th, 2020, from 6pm-9pm, at the Las Olas Capital Advisors offices in Fort Lauderdale.
