Outdoor activities and events for kids of all ages

Thousands of children and families gather at Huizenga Plaza in downtown Fort Lauderdale for what Winterfest President Lisa Scott-Founds describes as, “the one event that is truly designed for families and children of all ages. Besides the Winterfest Boat Parade, this is another event Winterfest has created that is free to the community.” The holiday event features giant slides, face painting, pirates, a Conservation Village, puppies from Pet Rescue Row, photo ops with Santa, plus food and beverage options.

It’s a perfect day on the Boulevard, Riverwalk and the New River.
