On Friday, January 6th, Hoffman’s Chocolates and the Florida Panthers treated over 25 foster children, ages seven to 18, from SOS Children’s Village to two hours of free ice skating, ice cream and fun at Panthers in the Park Ice Skating Rink presented by Hoffman’s Chocolates. The Florida Panthers provided the ice skates and rink time, while Hoffman’s Chocolates provided free ice cream and an array of toppings for the kids to create their own ice cream sundaes from its food truck, The Sweet Ride. SOS Children’s Village is a foster care neighborhood in Coconut Creek that houses up to 75 boys and girls, providing a safe and secure home, a nurturing family, a vibrant childhood and an array of services to help them overcome their past traumas and build a successful future.

“We are thrilled to have been able to partner with the Florida Panthers and Panthers in the Park to provide the children of SOS Florida Children’s Village with the opportunity to enjoy a fun day of ice skating and sweet treats from our Hoffman’s Chocolates Sweet Ride,” said Lois Marino, Director of Marketing at Hoffman’s Chocolates. “Hoffman’s Chocolates is very proud to support the local community, and we truly enjoyed spending the day with these wonderful and deserving children.”

The Florida Panthers, the City of Fort Lauderdale and Hoffman’s Chocolates teamed up this past holiday season to transform Fort Lauderdale’s Huizenga Plaza into Panthers in the Park Ice Skating Rink presented by Hoffman’s Chocolates, a 5,760-square-foot outdoor ice skating rink and enchanting holiday display. Located at One East Las Olas Blvd., Panthers in the Park was open Tuesday, November 29th through Sunday, January 8th.  Additional sponsors for Panthers in the Parkincluded Florida Power & Light, Show Management, Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale and Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau.
