Grant studied ceramics in high school and then furthered his education while attending College of the Desert in Palm Springs, California.  In 1990 he accepted an invitation to work in a small village in Taiwan making furniture.  He was introduced to the art of making furniture out of acrylic and fell in love with the material.  Grant eventually became a partner in the company and moved the manufacturing back to Palm Springs, CA were he designed unique furniture pieces and created them out of acrylic.  Over the ensuing years, he opened a company in Sarasota, Florida and  while still making furniture, he soon discovered that he could take remnants of acrylic and create art forms in sculpture.  In 2005, he was introduced to his first artwork by famed Israeli artist, Yaacov Agam and he was instantly inspired by the movement of his pieces.

Since then, Grant has primarily spent his time creating art sculpture forms.  He recently started incorporating glass, metal and wood into his acrylic sculptures.  “I am constantly inspired by what is around me and I rush to my studio every morning to see what new techniques I can discover,” Grant explained.  “My imagination creates endless goals and challenges and the biggest reward is hearing, ‘I just love your work, I have never seen anything like it!’”

A featured Gift Item for the holidays is this Acrylic Rainbow Colors Menorah by artist Will Grant.  The cost is $550.00.
