LOA Update COLO Recap: Jingle All The Way Down Beautiful Las Olas Boulevard!

Author Jodi Tanner – Vice President Las Olas Association | Las Olas Boulevard & Isles Magazine

That is what over 15,000 people did at this year’s 61st Annual Christmas on Las Olas which was free to the community and hosted by the Las Olas Association.

On Tuesday, November 28th, 2023, Las Olas was turned into a winter wonderland as we closed off the boulevard and filled it with festively attired party goers of all ages.

The Christmas Spirit was in full force and the cool weather was perfect. Our fantastic merchants and the many vendors and corporate sponsors decked the boulevard with beautiful lights, gave out wonderful swag and created a perfect night to shop, eat, and learn about local organizations in the community. There were flags hung and sponsored by The Dental Lounge, and we were also excited to have the Florida Panther’s Fun Zone with Stanley the Panther and his side kick, Viktor E. Rat. We thank them all and want to send a big thank you to The Las Olas Company for their continued sponsorship and support.

Snowflakes fell on the amazing 75’ Snow Mountain and the toboggan riders came in all ages from kids to adults. The laughs and happy screams were heard up and down the boulevard. We thank Anidjar & Levine, and Dunkin’ for their generous sponsorships. Broward Health skated up again this year with their sponsorship of the always fun Broward Health Fun Zone which had kids and adults all lacing up their skates for a little something new or a blast from the past on the rink.

Did someone say Santa? Indeed, as the big man was on Las Olas in all his glory taking photos with all the good boys and girls. He probably had a few too many beard pulls, as people just like to make sure it is the real deal, and it is! Thank you to Benedetti Orthodontics for making sure the Christmas wishes were all heard.

Beautiful musical, singing and dance performances adorned three stages with over 30 local elementary, middle, and high schools along with fantastic organizations such as the Hip Hop Kidz. The crowd went wild as they were treated to the amazing merrymaking Christmas acts. We thank our most generous stage sponsors, The Whitfield, JJ Dental, Truly Nolen, Carroll’s Jewelers, and Las Olas Capital Arts!

The Christmas spirit was flowing at our Sip, Jingle & Mingle at the Elf’s Pubs and was again sponsored by Stephens Distributing Company and benefited the American Lung Association. We want to send a special thanks to Dave Bell, of Vino’s, for making our pubs run smoothly and to our media sponsors, iHeart Radio, Las Olas Boulevard & Isles Magazine, Gatman Inc. and Mobile Mike for all being part of our dream team of event promoters.

The Las Olas Association is proud to keep the tradition of Christmas On Las Olas going and is happy to say that it was a huge success! We thank our dedicated team of Audrey Korshoff, Jodi Tanner, Luke Moorman, Linda Brown and our amazing volunteers who worked tirelessly to bring the community this memorable event. We also thank YOU, our resident and visitors, for bringing your spirit to the boulevard!

On behalf of the Las Olas Association, we wish all of you a Happy & Healthy New Year!

Lots of Love, Jodi Tanner Vice President, Las Olas Association
